Angry I feel like such a derp >.<
I had an iPod touch, fourthgen, that was jail broken... At least until I decided to upgrade to iOS 6 when it first came out, thinking that'd give me Siri. Of course, to my dismay, it didn't, and I couldn't jailbreak it anymore.

Eventually new jailbreaks came out and stuff, so I quickly re-jail broke it and enjoyed it for awhile.

Then I traded it for an iPad mini a few days ago. And of course the guy that I got it from wiped it, which forced 6.1.3 on it... Ugh I am such a derp sometimes.

Here's to hoping someone comes out with a jailbreak for 6.1.3....

I think we can safely say there will be no JB for 6.1.3/4.

What would be equally useful though, is an option to downgrade to 6.1.2.

That would be fantastic but I was under the impression you can't downgrade...

iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 2 you can but newer A5 powered iDevices, no chance.

They won't burn exploits Jailbreaking 6.1.3/4 when iOS 7 is just around the corner. JB 6.1.3/4 and come iOS 7 there is the possibility the exploits used will be patched.

ahhhh.... That explains a lot then. So effectively were waiting to see if iOS7 is jailbreakable; if so, that (an potentially 6.1.3/4) will be JBed, if it's not then 6.1.3/4 will most likely be JBed?

It's almost a given, judging by talk from within the JB community, that iOS 7 is jailbreakable. Not sure if a jailbreak for 6.1.3/4 would follow suit but one would hope so for users not wanting to upgrade to iOS 7.

As someone who is usually very in the loop about these things I feel horrible ._. I don't know anything about 7 except that it's coming out... Soon. Maybe. Good to know 7 sounds jailbreakable but I seriously wonder what makes them say it is o.O regardless, I shouldn't mind upgrading just for the sake of JB... Certainly better than no JB at all I would think.

JB is what keeps a lot of users faithful to the brand. In the grand scheme of things possibly an insignificant number but still...

I'm sure 7 is going to be good. Change is sometimes necessary and good and I think Apple must continue to mature their already very mature software in the face of the Android onslaught. More important than hardware upgrades IMHO.

What JB brings to the game we would most likely only see in an iOS 8 or 9 (if at all) and that's what makes JB priceless...

Seems remodeled icons is the talking point of iOS 7 at the mo and if that's the case that perfectly illustrates how far ahead Jailbreaking takes customization in relation to where Apple stands on it.

There half a dozen stunning themes currently on the market that customize each and every aspect of the UI (not just icons) and next month there will be another half a dozen new themes. It's not in Apple's best interests to tinker with the aesthetics of the UI to this extent but why not let the customers choose?

I'm waiting for the day when I can buy Elite6 or Noki or Boss or MiOS themes from the AppStore!! Until then JB is imperative.

Interesting. I myself am not a fan of themes by any means and prefer to hide/remove elements rather than redecorate them. To each his own, though.

I'd never really realized that but it makes sense, even for my unusual uses. Can't wait to see what's in store though.

Would love a downgrade tool of some form. Or even to be able to restore to the firmware version currently installed. My iPhone 5 is crying for a restore but there's not a chance I'm dumping my jailbreak!!! Bit wary of the ilex rat app so don't regard it as an option...

Mmmmm, might have to give it a bash then. Veeeeery nervous to use it...

Am I correct in assuming it basically removes all jailbreak apps/tweaks/mods/themes other than Cydia itself? Does it remove added repositories too?
