Default iPhone 4S Serial Number question.....
So, I had my iphone color changed from white to blue... But dropped it and had the person place my original white screen back on so I can take it to Apple since my earpiece and speaker don't work well since dropping it... But for some reason they are telling me that the serial number in Settings>>>General>>>About>>>Serial Number and the serial number inside of the iphone don't match. Not sure what the guy did or what piece of mine he might of switched whether on purpose or by mistake but how can I know where the other serial number is located? Need help please...

Did you buy the phone brand new? I'm not understanding what you're saying. The serial number should be the same. They don't take those apart in store unless the Genius Bar has had a complete overhaul since the last time I was there.

The only thing I can think of is if whoever replaced your phone used a different shield to cover your Charging Dock.

The serial number of the phone needs to match that shield.

Yeah that's a good point. But do they take the phones apart in store now? Unless he's talking about the imei number. That's printed on the bottom of the sim tray and he might have switched that out.

They usually take it apart to check for the water damage sticker too even if the ones on the outside are fine. They have been more thorough at the apple store here lately.
