lol yeah.. Problem is I had a pending order of like 20+ before this whole thing was discovered the fix didn't work. Received them yesterday. Going to just test one for giggles tonight before I submit a request for return to my rep. I plan on using them for all business minus my frames, so hopefully they will work with me on the return.

Quick update on the status of my frames:
Focus Supply agreed to let me return them, I'm in a hurry to get this settled as I've got customers waiting for working frames. I paid almost $70 to send about 40 frames back today via USPS Express. Totally worth it the sooner I can get this resolved lol
They agreed to let me send them back, they said they are getting me frames from another factory that should have no issues and want to work with me on resolving the issue. I imagine they'll send out the replacement frames after receiving mine. I will report back with the status of that when I get more.
My new supplier has their issues with the frames I reported lined out now apparently and I requested a few samples before I put a large order in with them to ensure the issues are no longer existent. Wooo

hey mate ive been away for a while and just wondering on how the new frames went?
Did focus supply end up having some good ones or did you change supplier?
Any info on where to get some good ones with no signal issues would be much appreciated
No worries about competition either, i run a little business out of my apartment in New Zealand and I would definitely keep my lips sealed if you dont want others to know about your suppliers :P

I was reading this thread with great interest and I'm also looking for a good supplier without the signal drain issue.
Background of my modding behaviour is my old Iphone 4 with the apple logo luminescent mod. This was a very nice gadget and i was looking for a similar way to do this on the iphone 5.
So I found this supplier with colored back housings and glowing apple

I'm very interested in this mod and wanted ti install it, but now i read your complaints about siganl issues with 3rd party housings... Do you know the supplier or any information about the quality?
Thank you for your support and grretings from the cold germany

Okay I just want to make sure: if the screw holes are black/grey on the inside it should have no signal issues, and if they are just the same colour as the cover then there might be issues?
I googled some exaple pictures:

hi guys, this is my first post anyway. i just bought the mid-frame back cover for iphone 5 from ebay the seller mentioned that the item as an OEM and original, what's make me really doubt here are :
1. the printed words (shown in the pict) shows a different color which is mostly has the same black color
2. imei number, when i tried to checked the imei number is valid as an unit coming from hongkong iphone 16gb black
3. the seller sent the item coming from US (i have no idea)
well, what i wondering here, does the item stated above are trully original parts from apple? or it is just a usual replacement (copy) comes from china seller who has been printed the "wording & logo"? if anyone here knows where / what sites who sells replacement part such as mid frame bezel n back cover for iphone 5 that provide and able to customized printed original iphone logo and imei???
thanks anyway...really appreciate for the answer, sorry for random post noobs here !

All the "original quality" ones that I have don't have any writing on them at all. Just the apple logo and the word "iPhone". The white lettering on that is for sure aftermarket.Twitter: @irevivalrepairs | Instagram: @irevivalrepairs

yesterday my new rear housing mentioned in post #67 arrived and I'm very happy about the quality. For sure today i started the transformation immediately and i succeeded with two issues. Now i need your help, because i don't know my further steps.
Issue 1: Loudness Speaker doesn't work anymore
All functions are working correctly expept the loudness speaker... it gives no sound...and I really don't know why...
Issie 2: Glowing Apple doesn't glow :P
First I connected the two wires from the rear housing like this
I idetified the picture is wrong because he changed the wired.... + and - have to be changed. Unfortunately the apple didnÄt glow.
The I checked the led in the rear housing by testing it with batteries - it works!
So I need a hint for connecting the wires... is the place wrong? I connected the red wire to the upper side of the resistor only.
@ deadsociety: if my new rear housing is working correctly, i am able to sell my original apple back housing
Thank you very much and greetings from germany!
