I gave my iPhone to my friend to do housing swap, it had like 40% battery when he started to disassemble it and when he put everything together, the battery was at 12%. So i have tried to charge it but i get the charge symbol and battery logo on lockscreen but it is stuck at 12%. It's been an hour and it is like that. What do i do?
Also i forgot to mention, i have the two screws that hold backplate removed, would that affect this?
Now having more problems, phone screen has white shadows and phone keeps rebooting

I would start by having him check all the connections again to make sure that they are all seated properly. Then I would recommend to restore the device. Sometimes a full restore is best to recognize new hardware.

Sorted now, opened the phone all over again and had 2 missing screws and also put new battery. Now working fine but the screen quality isn't the same as original, oh well since it is a cheap Chinese knock off, i know what im expecting, overall im happy anyway
