Water damage is not my specialty when it comes to repairs.
I have an iPhone 4 that was dropped in a sink full of water. It was immediatley removed, powered down and put into a bag of rice for 48 hours.
Now the only way i get any life out of this thing is if it plugged into the wall it will turn on to the recovery screen (Plug into iTunes)
If i try to connect it to my computer the boot logo will come on for about 7 seconds and then the screen just goes black.
What are my options? The Join date says enough!

Some have had luck by disassembling and doing a thorough cleaning of all connections with Isopropyl alcohol as even plain water leaves residual as it dries.

The iPhone is displaying features of faulty battery. So it seems the battery will have to be replaced. But first do as blkcadi recommends and make sure everything is completely dry and clean.

Yeah. No real way to see the damage unless you open it up. I usually get that screen with some type of hardware failure. In my case it's because I put a phone back together without a part in it (for testing functions). Would definitely say the battery is toast too.Twitter: @irevivalrepairs | Instagram: @irevivalrepairs
