Thread: iPhone 4S mid-frame replacement question

Default iPhone 4S mid-frame replacement question
Since the assembled black mid-frame I ordered for my iPhone 4S didn't work out (couldn't install the rear plate on to it), I've returned it and I'm not looking into getting a barebones black midframe. Given the fragility of the flex/ribbon cables in the mid-frame, I was thinking if I'm going to do this I might as well get all the necessary parts so that the only things that need to be moved over during the swap are the digitizer/LCD assembly, logicboard, rear camera, and rear plate. I've compiled a list of the parts/cable (see below) and was hoping you guys could tell me if I missed anything. Thanks.

    Speaker/Antenna Assembly
    Wifi Flex Cable
Proximity Light Sensor Power Button Flex Cable
Headphone Audio Jack Power Flex Cable
Home Button Back Menu Key Keypad Flex Cable
    Front Facing Camera Flex Cable
    Dock Connector Flex Cable
    Vibrator Flex Cable
    Earpiece Speaker
Sim Card Eject Spring Lever <- iRevival, this one's for you

Thanks Cowboy, the flex cable and vibrator actually come as one part, the vendor just calls it the vibrator flex cable!

There is no vibrator flex cable in iPhone 4S. The vibrator connects directly to the logic board. Well there is a very short 1/4 inch ribbon, so guess there is a vibrator flex. My bad.

I suppose the springs/contacts would be considered the flex cable.

Looks like you've got everything there. Good to see you're using my advice too lol. But honestly I think you'll have an easier time transferring the cables over. When you buy them new they come flat and then need to be bent (and even rolled) when installing. Much easier to transfer when they are already in the shape they are supposed to be lol.
