I had an iphone with a broken proximity sensor, so I opened it up to see what was the problem. It turns out that the ribbon 3 snapped off. No big deal, I can always buy a cheap one. But then this happened; after reconnecting connections 1 and 2 and turning the iphone back on, the bottom part of the screen isn't responding anymore! (Like 1/2 an inch). I have opened and re-closed it like 5 times now and redone ribbons 1 and 2, but to no avail. What do you guys think? Thanks!

The touch function is controlled by the Digitizer Flex #2. So #2 is still not right or damaged. Two things most likely are 1) Need new front glass with attached digitizer or 2) Need new connector #2 on Logic Board. If your are certain you have pressed down #2 connector perfectly, then next step would be replace Front Glass with Digitizer.
