    Default iPhone 4s problem.
So, this iPhone was water damaged, pulled apart to check it out.

doesnt seem to have any corrosion, the battery was ruined (wasn't holding charge) so i pulled it out.

(before i pulled it out the WiFi still worked and so did the rest of the phone the battery just didnt hold charge)

After pulling it out it now shows no WiFi / no WiFi address, and when plugged into the charger it decides to re-boot itself randomly.

    Any idea's anyone?

Does the GPS work by any chance? If that doesnt either you might of damaged the module on the logic board for those two specific issues. The reboot can further confirm that there is either damage to the logic board from water, i remember i once purchased a cdma iphone 4 for modding purposes and the digitizer would not work no matter what due to a faulty digitizer connector on the logic board. 4 months later, the digitizer started to work. Water damaged iPhones can be tricky if the logic board was affected.

The thing is, prior to removing the battery the WiFi worked perfectly, i didn't even remove the logic board, which is what is confusing me, i've done plenty of repairs so that is what is troubling me, the fact that i didn't touch the logic board.

all that was removed was the battery because it wasn't holding charge anyway.

Also the randomly rebooting issue, although i assume that could just be as simple as a power miss and it having no battery so briefly dying.

Isn't the WiFi connecting cable just ahead of and below the battery, very small and could be associated with a battery replacement?
