Anyone run their own repair shop?
Just curious. I run this one in our mall. We've been here for 3 years and have seen other competitors come and go. We've established ourselves as pretty much THE place to go in Nashville. Anyone doing this in their area? Just curious to see other setups. Here's ours.

The graveyard

And we do a lot more than just iPhones. That's our main business though.
This also may not be in the correct forum and if so, I apologize. :]

Just keep it clean; no spamish type. Sometimes threads like these end up just an "I do" and link to the site.
But there are a few repair people here and that run in their local areas. Not sure if anyone has a booth though.

I run a local shop in my town, but this is honestly my first time running a business on my own. Nice setup though! I run mine out of a small office suite.

Here's a few I snapped the other day. Nothing too crazy, the back room/workshop is still a work in progress, but the waiting area is pretty much finished. Just need to finish hanging the broken stuff and a few more pictures/decorations. Next month I think I'm going to put an xbox in there so people can play while they wait.

Sorry for the poor quality pictures lol.Twitter: @irevivalrepairs | Instagram: @irevivalrepairs

Nice looking set up B-Roll. I have my own repair shop here where I live too. I have a store front though, not in the mall. I'm sure you get tons of traffic.

Hey B-Roll. The box you are using for your graveyard. Did you buy that special or is there a specific name for that type of box. I've been looking for a "clear display box" for a while and can't seem to find one like yours. I'm about to just get a fishtank.

Looks like a fishtank to me, I would go that route since you can pick up a nice used one for cheap. That is a great idea and a great display- gotta love the display of broken stuff.

That's what I was thinking too. Hope you don't mind I if borrow the idea. I've got a ton of destroyed parts that I've been trying to display. Right now I have a border around my office of all the broken parts I've done over the last few months and it looks cool but I'm out of room and don't want to start a second row of them lol.

Hey sorry! Yeah it's just a regular fishtank. I actually had to dump it yesterday cus it was getting too full. It's a good thing to have for people walking by so they can see that other people break their stuff too haha.
Yesterday was also opening day for the Apple store in our mall. We shall see how this affects us. I'm trying to remain positive.

^^ will definitely help you. Apple, in my experience, won't even look at phones with internal issues if the exterior of it is cracked. I actually helped a friend of mine get her phone fixed by replacing a cracked back housing before she took it in, just had to remove the mfgr stamp that they put on the inside with some alcohol and it was like it was never replaced.

This is pretty much the biggest reason I am still in business. People started coming to me because of this exact reason and I usually keep the old parts from color swaps. So the ones that are from an actual iPhone I put on so they can actually get their warranty to work. People love it.

The copies I get from my supplier are even impossible to tell. All I have to do is take off their part number sticker, and wipe off their little logo stamp with some rubbing alcohol and you'd never know the difference. And I get those for under $4 each, black or white!
