The fingers need to be below the ledge on the frame.

If they're in place, you may have broken a resistor on the board.
Take it apart, and check your connections.

The home button I received with the kit I'm doing is too thick and sits flush with the glass and doesn't have enough room to push the connector. Is there anyway to sand or file the home button down safely?

I wouldn't try. What color is it? I have a ton of home buttons. I'll ship you one for free if I have your color.

Sorry my man. No baby blue for any iPhone. Surprising too. I have like 11 different colors. They aren't too expensive though. About 3 dollars wherever you decide to look.

Pretty much do the exact same thing as a screen change then your going to want to take the home button flex cable out then the bottom speaker/wifi thing out of the bottom. Then carefully remove the flex cables from the rest of the phone. Where the mute and volume button is there 5 screws you have to remove but you need to remove the headphone part of the flex cable before you can get to the last screw

Don't tug of flex cables, unscrew everything, and you'll be golden.
If I helped you in any way, please click on the button!

Its important to install/transfer all the small parts from the 4S frames, each copper cover or shield is responsible for signal as the whole housing acts as a giant antenna. If you need a thorough guide, these guys put a great channel with thorough details on how to gut the 4S http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...1&feature=plcp

Its a playlist, so just watch through each video step by step and dedicate at least 2 hours. Work on a white table or birch wood (no dark tables!). Good luck

Steal it turned out that when I put the back glass on I accidently pulled te signal wire off and I just had to reconnect that to get the signal

    Default Where to buy?
I have been looking around for a black mid frame for my 4S. I have found several on eBay, and other websites. How much do they run for? I found one on eBay for about $40. I don't feel like it wold be good quality. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thnx,

    nass
