Iphone 4 digitizer cable wont reach board :/

Hi all,

my first attempt at fixing my iphone 4 screen. Everything was going well until i had to put the motherboard back in and noticed that the the skinnier of the 2 digitizer cables isnt going to reach its plug.. Its seems to be far to short..

I figured perhaps i have bent it or something but it doesnt appear to be? I compared it to my broken LCD and the cables appear to be the same size and yet when I put the new digitzer back in i still get the same problem.

Any help/pointers we be appreciated - youtube and everything else seem to have no issues popping the digiter cables bacl through.

Make sure it isn't stuck when you pull it through the loop. Happened to me twice

Make sure to pull it through all the way. There is a small tab on the side of the digitizer cable that gets stuck.

For future, be very careful with jamming the cable like that. In this case you were lucky to get away without damaging the touch screen function. I have seen cases where people tried to pull it to fit and ripped the cable, as well cases were it was jammed so bad that it complete destroyed the function of the digitizer.
