Home Button Not Working iPhone4 Verizon

I just replaced the screen on an iPhone4 Verizon version and now the home button does not respond. I tore it back down and replaced the home button flex, then the button itself. Still no home button. I then cleaned the charging port with alcohol and a light brush as well as a full software restore. I am running out of things to try!

Try a software restore. Problem like this happened to me with my 3GS.

Maybe the charge port ribbon that the flex home button ribbon connects too, may try replacing that

As Cowboy mentioned, make sure its connected and if the flex is connected to the dock connector (charging port) and still does not work then you will need to replace the dock or the flex. Also if your dock connector is not connected to the motherboard or poorly connected, the homebutton will not function either.
