I replaced my battery on my Iphone 3G! After doing this I can no longer see anything in my camera App. I can't take a picture as it just has a blank image. Is there a hardware connection I may have disconnected when doing the battery change. It has to be hardware as it was working fine before replacing the battery. Appreciate your input.

I have been reading up on this shutter not opening on Iphone 3G. I found the following quote" I finally got the patience to crack it open and even though I never dropped it hard, the camera cable was disconnected with the mainboard. Simple as that. Popped it back in and the disabled picture button was now enabled. Where exactly is the camera cable connected to the Motherboard. Thanks

I think the camera connected is on the back of the MOBO and also is attached to the camera. I guess I figure that screwing the MOBO in place would secure this connection, but that isn't the case. I will go back and try and attach this again and see if it works.

Thanks for checking in. Yes, I am still having this issue. I took it apart and tried to line the connector up with the back of the motherboard, but still not luck. It is very hard to tell if it is seated down on the connector as it is on the back of the Motherboard and you are blinded, just guessing if it is connected. Maybe it could be software, but I doubt it. I did recently jailbreak the Iphone and that's about when it stopped working, but I also changed the battery over. What do you think?
