So, in honor of the holidays I'm trying to put my best foot forward at fixing my family members' phone issues. There are 3 phones total, all are black gsm iphone 4. All three have working screens that fully respond to touch but:
phone 1(black background in pics) has a messed up lcd which has caused part of the display to glitch out.
phone 2(cloth background) works fully but its outer glass is cracked and its home button has fallen off. Also very tiny crack on backplate.
phone 3(white background) just has a cracked back glass.

I am wondering what the best course of action is here. From looking at guides I don't think I'm comfortable with replacing the front glass on either phone. It looks like I'll have to send those 2 off to apple for $200 or find someone who fixes iphones for cheaper. My thought is that I might be able to switch one of the uncracked backplates from phone 1 or 2 to phone 3 before I send those 2 in for refurbs. What do you guys think? any help is greatly appreciated.

The main problem I see is whether I'd be able to put the cracked glass backplate on the cracked front iphone without the cracked back falling apart

iPhone 4 replacement with Apple is only $149, definitely something to consider when an iPhone has multiple problems like yours have. Swapping the back cover on iPhone 4 is very simple, and the back cover is very sturdy even with severely broken glass. So no problem there.

Well the really bad one was left on top of a car...and found half an hour later using find my iphone haha.

What I ended up doing was putting the cracked back glass on the back of the iphone with the cracked screen and missing home button and paying 150 at apple to trade it in. Now have those 2 phones fixed but still have one with screwed up display. PMing cowboy now..
