Do you think I can take off the power button flex cable off the power button backplate without touching the power button's position? So upon reassembly it will be fix

And also, would the clicking mechanism be intact without the power button backplate screwed on? (like if i took off the backplate of the power button, and push the powerbutton, would you hear the clicking mechanism
