Here is a little guide nothing special just explaining the differences and what needs to be done to make the Verizon Cdma screen assembly work on the new iPhone 4S. But before we start why would someone want to do this? Well first off its cheaper to buy the Cdma screens then the 4S screens. If your doing a color conversion there are a lot more colors available for Cdma. And last but not least the market is flooded with Cdma stuff so its easier to get a hold of the parts then it is with the new 4S.

As you can see from the image above I have highlighted 2 tabs on the back of the screen assembly. These 2 tabs are the only differences between cdma and the 4S screens.
The first tab in the middle of the screen needs to be simply cut off. When cutting it off you do need to be EXTREMELY careful not to press on the lcd. If you press on the lcd to hard it will distort it. You do need to cut the tab as flush as possible with the frame though. I have been doing this with just some of your basic wire cutters.
The second tab in the corner of screen is in the right place the only difference between 4S and the cdma screen assembly is where the hole on the tab is actually located. If you take a small bit and a dremel, just widen the whole literally fractions it will line up with the screw hole on the bezel.
Thats it pretty simple and a cheaper way to fix or change the color of your 4S.
Hope this helps,
Logan AKA Cowboy
Just for a side note I am hoping to have a full take apart guide maybe even a video later this week.

Haha, awesome guide. I'm new to this, my friend's iPhone 4S was completely SMASHED in the front but the back is perfect as new. So I'm looking for a way to replace her screen but was wondering if the CDMA could fit into the 4S and googled it and this thread came up. (: So any wire cutter and a drill will make it fit into the iPhone 4S perfectly?
