Thread: iPhone 4 and touch screen issues

I purchased an iPhone 4 off of eBay.....looks to be in perfect condition, but I'm having touch screen problems. At times the screen acts very erratically, usually when the keyboard is displayed. Like when I touch an “O” or a “P” the “Send” button activated (when in messaging)……and I’m not touching the “Send” button. Or the “Search” button will activate. A reboot will fix it for a while but it comes back.
The phone is running 5.0.1 and the phone is out of warranty.
P.S. - just noticed it happens when the phone is connected to the power adapter...like when it is charging.....hmmmm.

Other than typing do you notice anything else?

Not really.....maybe a quick screen flash when unlocking but like the other it's real random.
What are my options? Any help is appreciated.

My iPhone 4 does the sane thing. Unresponsive on some of the screen and acts erratically. Idk what to do about it. I did color swap to white but same thing. Now my screen is cracked and I am ready to swap again but I would rather have a working phone. Any suggestions?
