    Question iPhone 3G rebuild!

A customer brought me an iPhone 3G that looks as though it has been run over... twice.

Almost all the parts are to be replaced, and he insists on having it fixed.

So, I need a digitizer, a new LCD (the current one turns on but fails and starts flashing if it moves whatsoever while connected), new silent switch, new power button, new home button, and a new housing.

Somethings I noticed are that neither the home button or the power button are responding (but are clicking). In this case, I will need to replace connector #3 to have the home button work (I will also replace the home flex cable just to be safe)? As for the power button, I will have to replace the entire power button flex cable volume assembly.

I already replaced the digitizer to see if touch gestures work (which they do).

Let me know if I am doing everything correctly! Thanks!

You can try to PM Cowboy. I believe he works on iPhones regularly.

If someone can notify Cowboy of this thread that would be great! He doesn't seem to be responding to my PMs! Thank you!
