    Default URGENT! iPhone 3G dead LCD?!

    So I replaced an iPhone 3G digitizer, but the power button wasn't working. I had the phone go into sleep and then I performed the replacement.

    Because the phone was on, could that have shot the LCD?

    Will I need to replace it?

    Are you sure the LCD Display Flex Cable #1 is seated down on the Logic Board perfectly? That is the first step. If yes, second step is Hard Reset, which you cannot do without functioning Power Button. Third step, Restore Firmware in iTunes. Fourth step, try new LCD Display.

    I will try restoring. The power button is broken. I'm positive that #1 connector is seated correctly. Wish me luck!
