iphone 4 camera problem

my back panel of the iphone was recently smashed and cracked completely. i have just bought a replacement cover. when i use the camera it suddenly dims after a few seconds and the camera app stops working suddenly. can i get some help in this case? and is there any way to improve camera quality?

Sounds like you need to replace the camera. Looks like it got damaged when the back got smashed

I just fixed one a few days ago, and the camera clip on the motherboard was only partly on. had another wierd case where the flash would light up and NOT SHUT OFF. the battery connector was not tight. wierd, but true.

I am not doubting cowboy, but sometimes the small stuff can send you scrambling.
As far as improving camera quality, wait till the iphone 5 comes out and see if the 8MP camera fits in there, then order the replacement part
