    Non-Apple replacements are frequently not manufactured to the same precise tolerances. Slight variances can cause this. Assuming was was assembled correctly, match the old & new looking for any variance.

    I've seen it a few times I would reinstall the button if you don't have it just right it will feel almost hard to press although it will still respond
