hey guys, I recently purchased a red iPhone 4 conversion kit to replace a damaged screen. I bought the kit for a reasonable price on eBay. I installed the new screen the other day which fitted fine but came across problems when trying to fit the new back cover. For some reason it won't quite fit and slide down, my original back cover still fits fine. From trying to get it to fit the plastic tabs have stating to get chewed as they are made with a cheap plastic.

I have also noticed some other issues with the kit, the LCD has a tint of yellow and is a magnet for fingerprints. The writing on the back cover has turned black in places and there are black marks on the home button as well. Does anyone know why it's not fitting? or how I can make it fit? And lastly I think my home button is ever so slightly rotated to the left how can I fix this?

The silver 4s and black and red iphone 4 are mine. Blue iphone 4 is my bro's, and the rest are just me trying out random combinations of parts. I sold the red black iphone 4 friday, I was sad to see it go looked so sexy...

Theres a lot of awesome phone conversion in this thread, so I will likely be on here asking questions on where to get parts haha

Not that I know of. I've thought about stocking them before but even at wholesale price they are too expensive.

In the mean while, this is 2 iPhone 4S's i've done today. 1 Mirror Blue, And another Dark blue "Chelsea Edition" with the white trim, GOLD home button & Blue Back glass.

Thanks guys for the compliments. My iphone 4s will soon be green, went back to white and gave the silver mirror one to my cousin who shattered his 4s screen.

One question for you guys. Does anybody know where I can get a Full black, green or aura midframe for an iphone 4s? When I say full I mean with all the components preinstalled. Cant seem to find one that I dont have to manually install all the components into a frame. Theres a bunch for the iphone 4 but haven't had any luck with the 4s. There was a webpage that had them sz-china-better.com but the web store is down now.

i just got my conversion kit. I'm going to replace it myself, but i have a (stupid) question about the front glass.

Do i have to remove the white sticker on the back of the screen? and the yellow one that's holding the home button..?

Also make sure you take off the metal square piece from the back of the original button and put it on the new button, otherwise the home button will not work. Unless you bough a spare one for the new button, then forget about what I said haha
