It looks like like because of the shadows... It's the reflective, shiny purple, so things tend to reflect off it. Turned out very nice.

What's the easiest way to change the color of the chassis?
03-26-2012, 07:17 PM #676
What do you mean by chaissis the part that holds the glass?
03-26-2012, 07:25 PM #677
^^^Was wondering the same thing Cowboy.
@Burton32: If you're talking about the chassis (the plastic outlines on the front and back glass) then you'll need a hairdryer at the very least and you'll have to be patient. Getting the chassis off of the back glass is a pita. If you mean the midframe (the silver band around the phone) then there is really no easy way to go about that. They are quite the pain until you do a bunch of them. Especially those dang audio flexes on the GSM iPhone 4's lol.

Sorry for the confusion but I ment talking the plastic outlines from the glass. But yeah I figured you would need something to melt the glue a bit.
But also about the mid frames or middle plate does anybody have a good video tutorial for the 4s the ones I've seen arnt the best.
03-26-2012, 10:19 PM #679
I bought another midframe from a different supplier.
This one is much better. However, I'm having issues with the volume button.
There are 2 small circular caps that contact the switch. One is missing.
I tried to remove the circular part from the factory switch... no go.
Is this a common problem with aftermarket buttons?
Is there an easy fix? I'd rather not return the complete midframe.

@bulltproof: Those little contacts will come off of the old button. You need some pliers and an xacto knife. In a pinch you don't really need the pliers but they help tremendously. Just keep trying to work that cap off with the knife (or something similare, but it does need to be sturdy and sharp) and it'll pop off. It's glued down so you just need to work it. Matter of fact hit it with a hair dryer for a few seconds before you try and it should come right off.
