Iphone damage with water

My friend's phone got into the water and now we cant make it to wake up. =( Please someone know any way to get at least his information back? Cheers

Flush with distilled water and then stick it in a bag of rice for awhile. If that doesn't work, pull the motherboard and soak it in isopropyl alcohol overnight, then let dry a few days and reassemble. If it still doesn't work, you're probably SOL.
