    Default iPhone 3G Bad WiFi

    So my dad upgraded to an iPhone 4 and gave me his old 3G. I was planning to just tinker around with it, but it will not connect to WiFi. It searches and finds the SSID's just fine, but times out when it tries to connect.

    I'm running 4.2.1 stock on it, and I even tried JB it to see if that would help. No luck. So is this a hardware issue? Is it something that can even be fixed?

    Have you tried to restore the phone? You may have to replace the wifi antenna....that would be the worst case.
