3g camera "lens" stays closed

iPhone 3g; fw 3.1.3; bb 06.15; jailbroken.

The "lens" of my camera (any camera app) stays closed, has for a couple of weeks. Googling has not been helpful. I re-installed fw and checked immediately after, before jailbreaking or installing any other app.

Any ideas?

Hardware issue - your camera flex may be loose/unfixed or may need replaced.

Very cheap, very simple.

+1 it is either unplugged or unloose. Not that hard to fix tho. That's the good thing

Ok thank you. I ordered a new camera with flex cable, hopefully won't take too long to get here! My son can take iPhones apart so should be easy when it gets here.
