    Thumbs up Selfmade iP4 Backcover
Hey, i usually don't post often here, but this time i got something to show off..
I was bored today, so i took a couple parts i had laying around and built that backcover using the following stuff:

    - original black backcover
    - broken white backcover
    - some stain
    - a brass brush
.. and 4 hours of free time

I know that i'm not the first one with that, thumbs up to the one who had that idea first a couple months back but i wanted it to fit my white front and dislike the chrome logos and text. Thats why i made it by myself.

Tell me if you're interested in an guide, i'm sure i can write one.

All you need to do is get paint thinner put the back glass in it leave it sitting for an hour or so then the paint pretty much wipes away

  8. #8
So all I have to do is let the glass sit in some paint thinner?

  9. #9
    Pretty much

    Ok thanks

No problem and it should just wipe away with a little force but not much

I have an extra backplate to screw around with.

I just apply paint thinner to the side of the part that faces the phone, correct? How much thinner and for how long? What do I use to scrape it off?

can anyone help me remove the metal plate?

its the stock black glass...I wanted to make it clear but I cant remove it.

edit: i was able to remove it with brute force but i managed to crack the plastic with the hooks.... what do i use to glue the glass and plastic together?
