I finally used the glue trick too and it did make it a bit easier. There are 2 small black pins on the vib switch that go into the metal holder. Is it normal for the black plastic part (actual switch) to rock side to side a little?

ideally it shouldnt, once installed, but i suppose that would also depend on the quality of the housing itself and how tight the clearances areApple Emac G4 | Intel Core i5 | Apple iPhone3G 16GB (aspiring to be an iPhone 4 )

Red 3GS 32GB
Here are some photos of my new red iPhone 3GS.
I'm pretty happy with the case and bezel, except for the gap at the bottom between the bezel and digitizer.

I super glued the gap down on mine. But be careful with the glue.

Nice are you experiencing any hassles with you home button? when i did my conversion, the pins weren't making contact with the PCB so i just bent them outward a little.. they broke during a subsequent operation (replacing the battery) so i just soldered some small springs on there, they work like a charm
@ Annie, what happens if you need to open it up again?
PS: My volume keys fell off yesterday!! WTF!Apple Emac G4 | Intel Core i5 | Apple iPhone3G 16GB (aspiring to be an iPhone 4 )

My gap is between the bezel and the digitizer. I can't squeeze it together anymore. My home button works perfectly. It's only my volume up button that I have trouble with. I need to replace the switch, but haven't decided if it is worth it to replace that assy to get the switch working again.

Has anyone here had trouble with the slide on cases fitting after putting the new back on? I have replaced a couple of backs now. They look really nice and everything seems to fit inside pretty well, but they won't go back into a slide case. They seem to be too thick. Anyone have any experience here?
