White iphone 4 Conversion problems
Converted my phone yesterday and having a couple problems.
1. Proximity sensor does not work
my white front just had the dots without any sticker, should i try and sharpy over it or something? the inside of the front is quite light in colour(grey/white) so i can see how the IR could always be reflecting light back into it.
2. Vibrate switch is messed up.
some sounds do not work(keyboard clicks, unlock sound) and the vibrate switch does not work.
got white headphone jack/volume flex and is it ever a ***** todo.
think i probably messed up the switch somehow, seems like the mechanism isnt broken but something inside the switch must be.
Should just replace the flex i guess?
Thanks for the help!

thanks for the suggestions dee,
i have yet to tackle these problems, but will be soon.
I have another white headphone flex so no biggie really replacing that.
All of the other funtions on that flex are fine, headphone and volume work fine, just the mute switch

im having another problem with the bottom mic.
it is very quite during calls, people have having lots of trouble hearing me....
i guess that has to do with the little rubber sleeve that goes over the mic on the doc connector?
maybe bad doc connector?
will have to investigate further...
suggestions?

Could just have the rubber piece smashed alittle bit covering part of the mic. Take a look let us know what you figure out

ok i think i fixed it!
the new white dock connector came with an adhesive that sticks the rubber sleeve onto the microphone itself.
when sliding on the rubber over the mic i must had pulled the adhesive over the tiny hole in the mic that allows the sound in.
so it was not working at all...
took it apart and removed the adhesive completely and it seems to be working great!

replaced my headphone flex to fix the vibrate switch
ended up fixing the vibrate switch, but now my down volume button doesn't work
tried tightening the screws that hold the metal bracket thing to the frame but that didn't do anything, another faulty flex?
shoulda just stuck with the black headphone jack
Probably not gonna bother with the proximity till i break my screen or something. will get calllock once i can JB 4.3
