New LCD stays white

I damaged the LCD wire on my 3GS
I got a new one and put it in.. The screen stays white when I turn it on

I put the screen on another 3GS and worked good

How could this have happen?

If it helps it's a new bootrom iPhone

No it looks crisp

It was working before I damaged the LCD connector.. I separated it in half.. But I didn't touch the motherboards LCD connector

And you tried a restore? If so then you have a bad connector on the board

I would have tried another LCD. Many times one LCD may not work, and another one will. Luck of the draw.

I tried 2 working ones

Knew they worked because after putting them back to they're original phones they worked great

Did you try an LCD with a bad backlight? I keep a number of those on hand to test for this sole purpose. It tells me if its something else that is causing the problem or the phone's display IC chip.

It's weird the cracked LCD didn't respond at all on thus iPhone but was white on the other iPhone
