3g screen getting brighter

hi im ney to modmyi and iv found it very helpful

iv got a bit of a problem with the screen of my 3g
it get brighter on its own and the colour seems to fade with
very faint lines goin across

will this be a hardware plob

its out of warranty so cant take it to apple

heres another weird thing if i take a screenshot ov the problem
the picture is ok

iv added 2 picks take off my iphone 4 cheers

You may not need a new LCD. It could be the connector for the lcd to the board. I had a many issues with this for a while. I bought a replacement screen and it would do this often. Had to press on teh screen of the connector to get it to come back. So, sometime, if taken apart often, the connector comes a little bit loose and fails to make a good contact on the correct pins. Try opening it up and reseating the no. 1 connector.

ANd an FYI, after having a replacement screen from ebay, fail very quickly, cracked very easily, I bought a mint water damaged 3g and and Just put my board into it. Now screen is oem was well as all the other crap that was wrong with my phone. Broken housing, inoperative switches....
