    Default Screen replacement
    Hey you guys,

Just replaced the screen (and digitizer) on my iphone 3g.
Unfortunately it's not entirely working: The very right side of my iPhone's touchscreen is not working.
Do you think he issue is related to the new (not OEM) digitizer or have i could i have damaged something?

At first i thought the digitizer wasn't plugged in the right way but after redoing it (and screwing up the frame by opening the iphone once more) it stayed the same.

    Help would be greatly appreciatied!

    Cheers
    smoel

yeah, sounds like it is defective. and how did you mess up the frame if there is no need of tools to open it? all you need is a suction cup to pull the glass up

Yup most defiantly the digi. See if you can return and get a replacement. Also order one from either amazon or sw-box. Thats going to be the best place for a none oem digi that works lol

Seriously? But don't have to push down the clips on the sides first before pulling the screen out?

Suction cup is The best tool.. When I don't have one I gentle use a pair of razors and insert them at the bottom
    And push up

I really have no idea what you are talking about LOL... I just put a suction cup by the home button and pull up, done! I am talking about a 3G/3GS just in case

If your talking about removing the glass from the LCD yes there are 4 clips. But removing the full assembly from the casing a suction cup works just fine

Hey guys. I want to replace my 3GS glass. The reason is because I just scratched it(I'm gonna kill myself) and wanted to know if it was the same as the 3G. Thanks

Not the glass itself but the steps.

The 3G and 3GS glasses have different connectors, but the same process of take apart and put back together.
