    Default Replacing back housing 3Gs

Lately I've been thinking of spiffying up the look of my iPhone 3GS, I went on eBay and checked it all out, they seem very cheap and a nice visual upgrade. Now I'm wondering what's involved in taking this project on myself? I have watched many tutorials on it but obviously most of these people are professionals and make it look very easy... I'm very electronically competent, but I've just never gone into an iPhone. Just wondering if anyone has done this repair/change on their own and would like to share experiences. Just need a little reassurance
    Thanks

Its a pretty involved task to change the back of a 3GS. Once you take the screen off then you have to go through pretty much everything else to reach the back. I wouldnt say it is overly difficult, but it will take time, patience, and a good memory of where everything is supposed to go.

A major question I have is the ribon connectors, are they difficult to reattach, every video I watch only takes them off and at no point do they put them back on so I can't judge how hard it is..

I've only done it once the whole way through. It's not too hard to put them back, just have to careful.
