iphone 3gs main board wont power
id almost put money on the unit being dead but well no harm in asking now is there.
i have a 3gs board thats been tested in a couple off cases with a couple of different USB dock connectors and a couple of different batteries also.
the board does not fire at all no apple logo no nothing tryed getting into DFU mode and again nothing. so before i throw it away i was wondering if anyone has any thoughts???

I have a 3Gs board with the same problem. Where does the board get power? Could there be a bad connection between the battery and the board or the usb dock and the board?
Any help would be much appreciated!

i think iv got a 3gs with the same problem, phone apparently just stopped working.

are you sure the battery is still good? I bought a 3Gs for next to nothing, owner thought it was bricked, but i changed the battery and it worked perfectly!

Same problems here. I had slight moisture get in mine. I disassembled it, dry off the very slight amounts of water, air compressed the rest, replaced the headphone jack, dock connector port, and battery, but it still won't boot? Anyone? I seriously need some help ASAP!

It sounds ridiculous, but I'm pretty sure using other USB cables other than the one it came with messes up your device. I had a brand new 3GS Apple charger that wouldn't charge my 4. I've had car chargers that were made by Griffin that wouldn't charge the 3GS, but would charge an iPad. Compatible, my a...
