    Default iPhone 4 Cracked Screen
So my I dropped my iPhone 4 and it has a cracked screen already. As far as I understand the LCD and the glass are glued together making it a costly fix. However I came across just the glass on ebay and was wondering if there was anyway to make it work, or if it is just a waste because the LCD is glued to the glass and I will need to buy a whole new assembly.

I personally would probably say if other than the crack it didn't show much damage...that I was applying a shield which I got from the Apple site : ) and as I was applying a little bit of pressure it just cracked

If you can't scam your way to a new iPhone like the above said, you can fix it yourself. However, this phone is unfortunately for us DIY'ers like the 2g in that the lcd is gorilla glued with that lcd f*ckup of an adhesive that they used. So you will need to replace the lcd =(

Damn that must have been a pretty hard hit! That really sucks because I think the whole assy since the new retina screen and glue.Good luck man!!!
ps if you bought it at bestbuy they have a special insurance that if any goes wrong or crack a screen they will either fix it or give you a new one. Its 14.99 a month but well worth it!!!

Many insurance places offer the insurance within 30 days of purchase. Could try looking into one of them.
Have they released the jailbreak in the app store yet?
