Default iPhone keeps displaying "accessory not supported"
My iPhone suddenly started displaying this message every few minutes but I don't have anything plugged in. It's been going on about a day now.

Turning it off and on hasn't made a difference.
Anyone know if this a software issue and I can restore the phone or is my iPhone broken?

Try carefully cleaning your dock connector. This happened to me. I used a little brush that came with my electric razor. Hope this helps.
