Default Touchscreen Not Working 8gb 3G
    Hi All,

Last summer i left my iphone 3g on my back deck of my lake house to go swimming and lo and behold while i was swimming it started to rain. I rushed back to my deck to find my drenched ipod. The screen was freaking out then it just turned off. I wiped it down and rushed home the next morning to put it in a bag of rice. Finialy after a few days it turned on, but the touchscreen wouldn't work. Except for the first time it powered on it worked briefly then i walked away to do something while i let it charge and when i came back no go. I put it back in the bag for another week, no luck. I ordered a new digitizer and replaced that and still no touchscreen. The iphone otherwise seems to be fine except that the volume rocker does not seem to be working and the home key is a little glitchy but it had been before the water damage. I check it every now and again to see if it has come back to life yet, i even took it apart and checked all of the connections again tonight and cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. I'm thinking its got to be something stupid im just overlooking. Any help would be great.

The mainboard got slightly fried and about a 99% chance its not fixable. Either that or there is a very slight chance the digitizer is defective OR you broke it during installation.
