    Hi

    i have a iphone 2g which i have been using for a very long time today when i woke up and after washing my hands i saw 3 drops of water on my phone to the left of lower half of the screen and i wiped them off after a while i tried to unlock my phone but it was not responding ( it was working before that ) i can not unlock it eventhoug i can turn off my phone
    iphone 2g
    firware.3.1.3
    unlocked (T-Mobile)

    yes i did a search on the forum but could not find an answer to it

    try power off, restart, if water damage the digitizer, you'll have to change the total

    take it to workshops, or you get it from ebay, and DIY to a guide video, should no more than $20

    I just got a quote of $148.00 for my 2g's digitizer...although I'm not quite sure if I need one. My problem's similar to your's but I loaned it to a friend and it came back like this.(see my post in this forum.) I think $50.00- $60.00 is for 3g's MUCH less expensive digitizer.
