That's kind of a vague description. Maybe some pictures would help.

Sorry about the lack of details. It has a small indention on the back cover. I have tried holding the power button. Nothing. I have tried plugging it in to the wall and the computer. Nothing. I have tried holding down the home and the power. Nothing. Im not sure what kind of pictures would be helpful. I would be glad to post.

I did not drop it in water. It took about a four foot tumble onto the floor.

The battery makes contact to the mainboard by pressure contacts....meaning the contacts are tiny springs that touch the mainboard when its in place.

If the phone got jolted then they may have been wacked out of place, so no battery contact.

Take the screws on the bottom out, take off the motherboard, then check what ^ said about the battery as that's probably the problem. Check to make sure all your buttons are working properly as well.

Where is the dent on the back just out of curiosity.

Dont open it by yourself, it will remove the warranty. Take it to a Apple Certified Repairer, or visit Apple, and they should be able to fix it for you

Figured, if someone is posting here for something that they are out of warranty, otherwise thats first and foremost (obviously)
