Default 3g vs 3gs screen difference
I have a non functioning 3g laying here (broken mobo connector) and there is a 3gs on cl with a cracked screen. Can I swap the entire digitizer and screen over to the 3gs?

Nope. 2G, 3G and 3Gs all have different screen cables.

Yes I am agree with him. You can't use it. Because there is a lot of different between all of them two iPhones. You are talking about to replacement of the screen cover. But there are also many different features in them.

The digitizers are all the same size, since all three of the iphones have the same size screen, but the connects coming from the digitizers are different, which are firmly glued to the glass, (having to replace the digitizer and glass at the same time) which makes it impossible to use the screens and digitizers interchangeably throughout the three different iPhone models.

What is exactly broken on the 3g you have? I may be able to save it. PM/email me if you're interested. I do microsoldering work, and this stuff is right up my alley. Check out my work

iPhone 3g and 3gs screen are different, it's suggested you take both to repair, it won't cost much though
