Either the connection....or the digitizer is still not working.
However, I have seen software glitch that will do that, so I would also try a restore WITH a freshly downloaded .ipsw file.

Camera cable, I seriously doubt it. It wouldn't surprise me if the digitizer flex cable failed or was defective from the start. Unfortunately, many of the digitizers sold on eBay and other places are crap. It may cost a few bucks but buy from a reputable source. I would go for it and buy another new digitizer.
Oh, you might as well order a new camera while your at it
. You know, two birds with one stone and all that
be super careful with the little locking lever on the #3 connector, after a few assembly/disassembly cycles mine snapped, and that is not a food time!!Last edited by Effenpig!; 03-22-2010 at 10:35 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

#3 controls earpiece and proximity sensor that shuts the screen off when you pit it to your ear. If you ruin that connector you will have to have it progessionally repaired. You can PM krazy on this forum.

Yeah, you killed it or it was killed.
Get an OEM one. They are so much better than the replacement ones.iPhone 4, Yellow Custom Glass, 32GB, 4.3.3, non-working home button. And a prototype iPhone 4 White.
Main Computer:MacBook Unibody Plastic, 2.26GHZ, 4GB RAM, 250x2GB, Red glowing Apple.

Hey I have the exact same problem. What did you end up doing??
Did another digitizer solve the problem?
