iPhone touchscreen not working

I recently changed the battery on my 3G and fixed the battery but I seemed to have screwed something up. The touchscreen does not work at all I cant slide to unlock or anything. Did I maybe damage some cables or does anyone know to repair this problem?

Check cable #2 to see if it is visibly damaged and/or seated properly. If you cannot solve the problem you will need to replace the digitizer.

yea theres no visible damage to it could it be any of the other cables or do you think the digitizer is my problem

It sounds like you damage the digitizer. Nothing else should cause this issue. I don't think the battery caused this but then again, you never know. I have seen some crazy stuff caused by after-market parts. As an experiment you can try putting the old battery back in and see if your digitizer works. If not, definitely replace.
