Default Repairing water damage iPhone 3G, error 28, stuck at recovery mode
    hello everyone,
i hope someone maybe able to help me out, I'm trying to help out a friend who was dumb enough to swim with his iPhone 3G for a good 5 minutes until he realized the iphone in his pocket.

I think I cleaned everything up pretty good, no more residue and looks new. I put everything back together, it booted up after about 10 mins of charging.

I got recovery mode, tried iTunes restore and got 1604 error.

if i put the phone in DFU mode, I will get 28 error.

When restoring in DFU mode, the phone will get to the point where Apple logo with a loading bar shows up, but it fails 5 seconds after.

I did a iRecovery -S and got the following.... maybe the phone is really damaged and useless?

iRecovery - Recovery Utility for 0x1281 and WTF.

Yes it either needs logic board or battery battery is cheap but logic board is nearly half the price of a 3g on eBay
