Exclamation Iphone 2G Not Detected in OS (XP/Leopord)

I have an interesting issuue with my phone.

    Its a 4G 2g i just got it.

    Here are the issues summarised

The phone starts up fine and boots and finally it says

    iPhone is disabled
    Connect to Itunes.

This is ok and i can restore it in DFU/Recovery mode.

But the major issue is it wont get detected in any os.
I tried multiple computers aith different os.
    Any comments.
On windows when i connect it says

    USB device not recognised.

When i got the phone it was not charged and would not even boot up. then i connected it to pc via usb and i guess it charged.
not again after complete boot up the battery indicator still shown low battery but i know its charged as it was on stand by for whole night.

I am confused guys I am guessing its the logic board or the comm board but dont know how to trouble shoot.
    any help is appreciated.

Your is phone is water damaged. Water will do one thing for sure in that it will damaged the lipo battery which is a soft material and it goes first. If you get the battery changed price wise is ok, but if you find out its still not working on its own then you need to sell that one for parts and buy a working 2G. I have been down the same road as you.
Please Note-if you get the battery replaced and it starts to work and you can unlock/jailbreak it and the touchscreen only works intermitently your not out of the woods as it will have to be replaced and thats the entire assembly not just the glass or lcd.
