Check ebay but you will still need to check repair prices.

The repair isnt that bad. iFixIt has a great guide.
It's only impossible if you quit.

See, knew Melech would come around. One of the "how to fix" or "what to order" people to ask on MMi.

alright i just wondered cause i was thinking how in the hell do i seperate those. also how hard is it to replace the back housing. anything i need to be wary or aware of?
-

It takes experience to replace the housing. There are a few threads on the thread concerning housing swaps. I do them all the time so if you need help or just don't want to do it yourself let me know.

I believe there are three screws on one side, two of which are under tape. Two screws on the other side. There is one screw in the top corner. Then I like to slide my fingernail between the rails on on side then the other to pop the screen loose. Then just lift the bottom of the LCD up a little and slide it down and out. I'm no pro but I've done it a few times.
