OMFG I LOVE YOU! i had to add sinfuliphonerepo and get blacksn0w from there on cydia... that did the trick. i have 3g now. you are the best. thanks for staying on it with me. you have truly gained my respect and many thanks to you, my friend. i might have other Q's if that's ok as i keep going with this. thanks again
When i turn Wifi off, and it's just on 3G... i get no internet connection on all my apps.

I am using ATT. It says "Could not activate cellular data network.
You are not subscribed to a Cellular data service"
I put the SIM in my Nokia, and 3G works fine on it...

You need to call 611 and give them the IMEI number of your iPhone. It needs to be registered on the network for your 3G to work. You must also subscribe to their iPhone data plan.

REALLY?!?! i can't use 3G on a jailbroken iphone if i don't have a plan? then how does it work for T-mobile then? i really wanted it to work... i used data on the 2G w/o an Apple plan.
I fixed it! I needed to make a custom APN... forgot that's what i did for my 2G too.

ok and i also have a problem with the keyboard clicks. They're so low it's crazy. i turned the volume all the way up with the side volume buttons. I guess it's a pretty common problem w/ jailbroken iphones. however i can't find a fix. do you know anything about this? thanks

See if a hard reset corrects that. I get it occasionally. You can also try VolumeBoost from cydia, may help...
