Default Will opening up screen void warranty?
I had a speck of dust under the screen and cleaned it disassembling the screen. I have NOT touched the mother board at all. The " do not remove" sticker is still intact.

Did I void the warranty? Will Apple know?

Technically, yes, you have voided your warranty. Practically speaking, as long as it is not obvious that you have opened the phone they will still honor the warranty.

But when disassembling the screen you removed the long black sticker that covers one side of the screens metal housing and the screws needed to disassemble it though?

I used thumb forceps to gently removed it and put it back after reassembling it. Looks as good as the first time.

Well as long as you didn't remove either of the stickers or atleast they cant tell that you did then they should have no reason to think that you did anything to void your warranty. As long as it isn't completely obvious then usually you'll be safe to get away with it.

It does not void the warranty. There are laws in place that protect consumers against warranties. The only thing that will not be covered under warranty any longer will be the Digitizer since you replaced it. By law they cannot void your device's warranty.

It doesn't void your warranty. I broke my screen and bought a replacement screen off of ebay, fixed it myself then got my phone replaced from apple under warranty. As long as there's no signs showing that you've opened the phone. It's not like they're going to open it and check. They have no proof anyway.

It is policy now to open the phone and check for water damage indication and to see if the "Do Not Remove" sticker is intact.

So lets say you send in a phone to APpple and pay the credit card hold. They receive the old phone back and they check and they see that there is a chance I tampered with my phone. I got a glass repaired a few months ago and now it is locking up. I know that they did not mess anything up. it is a hardware issue. Can they charge my card for the new /replacement phone? The phone works great just locks up here and there. I have to reboot it.
