11-27-2009, 01:07 PM #1Question about replacing the LCD.
I planned on replacing my broken LCD, i was purchasing the plate, and the LCD. iPhone 3G Replacement LCD Screen Display Repair + Plate - eBay (item 120496858066 end time Dec-02-09 14:30:42 PST)
My question is what do i use to put the LCD on the plate?

It should come with 2 thin strips of adhesives already attached to the back of the lcd. Just pull the old plate off your old lcd and make sure not to bend it. There is a small hole in the corner, and a little node on the lcd. Just line the two up and put them together.

Okay, thank you very much for your help.
Is it pretty easy lining them up? And if you don't line them up the first time are you screwed?

It is very easy to do, and yes, if you mess it up the first time you could damage the LCD trying to remove it from the plate again.

I'll be very careful with it then. I really hope I don't mess up.
