11-27-2009, 12:58 PM #1Problem with iPhone 3G FPC Connector for Light Sensor Flex( I Think)
Ok, i have the problem with Cable #3. The first problem is when i took cable 3 out i wast careful and broke this chip off http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160378519378 I found replacements for this chip. The main/2nd Problem is that when the chip broke it broke 4 of the 6 copper wires/lines under the chip. So there are only 2 remaining. Will the chip still go on with just having 2 copper lines to attach to? If not is there anyway to replace the little copper pieces?
I hope this helped you understand a little bit. Its kind of confusing i know.
EDIT: Picture link doesnt work i dont think. Ill put a picture in attachments.

i also have had a problem with my iphone and i believe it could be related to the 3 connector..
i get an error 29 when i try to restore my iphone. the connector 3 cable is loose, so i am wondering if this is the cause of the error message i am getting.
Please let me know what you think.

Sorry guys, I choose not to show anyone this repair anymore, because simply, too many people mess it up. Even with the proper equipment I still see the same issues and damage. If you look on my blog, you will see what I mean.
