l may have gone bad need opinions

ok so i bought a used iphone 3g with a cracked screen. i replaced the digitizer and glass. mind you the lcd was 100% functional ven with the cracked glass. when i turnd on the iphone after changing the glas/digitizer i turned on fine the apple logo came up then the screen inverted colors like someone photoshopped my screen. i did the hard reset and the screen i just white now with a few "shadows" as i click things i can still sync with itunes and can still lock and unlock the phone. do you think its the lcd or the motherboard ? yes i did a restore same issue. thanks

Make sure the LCD cable is seated properly (#1)....otherwise, you probably damaged the LCD.
